On 7 September this year NMCC (Nissan Motor Car Carrier) took delivery of their newbuilding Venus Spirit.

Höegh Autoliners being a 20% shareholder in NMCC, attended the naming ceremony at Naikai dockyard in Japan, represented by Mr Øyvind Ervik (Head of Region East Asia) and Mr Jun Kobayashi (Managing Director Höegh Autoliners Japan)

The naming was arranged as per Japanese tradition, where the task was split. As such the vessel was named by Mr. John Martin, Group Vice President in Nissan Motor Ltd., and the lady sponsor was his Personal Assistant Ms. Masae Hara, who successfully threw the bottle.
