Strategy & Governance
As a global shipping company, it is crucial that we take responsibility for the environment and society in which we operate. Guided by our vision for net-zero and carbon-neutral vessel operations by 2040, we have developed an integrated strategy that encompasses environmental, social, and governance-related aspects.
Responsible Business Partner
As a responsible business partner, we are committed to conducting our business with utmost regard to ethical business principles and act in line with applicable laws, and ethical, environmental and community norms.
Key partnerships and alliances
Collaboration is key to creating a greener and more sustainable shipping industry. We actively participate in various initiatives and stakeholder organizations, with our strategy based on the United Nations Global Compact. Since 2020, we have been committed to its principles on human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. As one of the first shipping companies, we have also become a signatory of the First Movers Coalition and responded to the Getting to Zero coalition's Call to Action for Shipping Decarbonization, reaffirming our dedication to sustainability.
We strongly believe that a safe and inclusive work environment is vital for employee health, operational safety, and engagement. Our people are our most valuable asset, and only with the best individuals on board can we deliver the results expected of us.
As a global shipping company, we have a responsibility to the environment in which we operate. Our strategy has been revamped to meet our commitments and aid our customers' supply chains' decarbonization. We proactively manage our environmental performance by considering environmental factors in service development and employing a systematic approach to reduce our environmental footprint.
