Update in Original B/L in COVID-19 situation

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to cause disruptions around the world. In this volatile situation, we continue to work hard to find the best possible solutions for our customers and sustain our ocean service.

With governments extending lockdown periods and office staff working from home, we recognise that some of our customers are experiencing issues with the distribution of Original Bills of Ladings (OBL).

Hence, we strongly encourage our customers to evaluate the use of Seaway/Non-negotiable bills that allow for the release of cargo without physical documentation. Check with your local customer service representative if seaway/non-negotiable bills are used for your desired destination.  

We can also offer customers to surrender OBL at local offices if possible, and issue Telex Release upon instruction from Shipper.  Due to local rules and regulations, some locations may require OBL. 

We understand that some locations have experienced disruptions in courier services and we will endeavour to find solutions together with our customers.
