COVID-19 (Coronavirus) update – 13 March
Höegh Autoliners is closely monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak to ensure the safety of our crew and employees and to mitigate any impact it has on our operations.
With preventive measures implemented by the Government of Norway due to cases of the COVID-19, we have initiated internal procedures for the safety and wellbeing of our employees. This has resulted in our employees in Oslo working from home. This way we can ensure business continuity and help limit the spread of infection in the community. We are following local government advice and are assessing our global offices on an individual basis.
For crew on board our vessels we continue with stringent health and safety procedures and shore leave is restricted. Crew changes are minimised and done when absolutely necessary. When crew change is carried out it is done strictly in line with port state, flag state and relevant health authorities regulations and recommendations.
Our cargo operations staff follow port Authority’s guidance and safety measures for working in the terminal to ensure minimal risk of exposure to the virus. All ports follow strict health and safety controls and are currently operating as normal.
If you have any queries please contact your local Höegh Autoliners representative office.
