COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update – 12 May
Our thoughts continue to go out to those impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic, and we hope that you all are staying safe. At Höegh Autoliners, our main priorities continue to be the safety of our employees, sustaining our ocean service and providing the best possible solutions for our customers in this evolving situation.
We continue with health and safety measures in line with government advice and recommendations for both our land-based employees and seafarers. This has enabled us to serve customer requests and ensure business continuity, whilst ensuring our employees’ safety.
The ports and terminals we call are operating; however, we continue to see reduced labour availability in some locations, which is slowing down operations considerably. Whilst we may experience slight disruptions in some ports, we endeavour to maintain a timely service to our customers.
Although there has been positive news with OEM plants re-opening, we foresee weak volumes in the near future. Regrettably, this may impact our services going forward, however we will continue to collaborate with customers to find the best possible solutions.
Our liner services are still operating; however due to the volatile situation our schedules are subject to change. We therefore advise our customers to be in contact with their Höegh Autoliners Representative, who will keep them abreast on the latest developments.
We understand this is a difficult situation for everyone. In order to find the best solutions for everyone in these uncertain times, we ask our customers’ to inform us of any changes in their business plan in a timely manner.
