Höegh Autoliners joins the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping as a Mission Ambassador

DATE 28.06.2023

Höegh Autoliners joins the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping as a Mission Ambassador, further committing to our joint mission to decarbonize shipping.

The Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping (the Center) is an independent, not-for-profit research and development center established in 2020 with funding from the A.P. Møller Foundation.

The Center works dedicated to accelerating the decarbonization of the global maritime industry. This complex challenge requires unprecedented collaboration across sectors, industries, and geographies. Working with their partners, governments, authorities, public sector bodies, scientists, and organizations across the global maritime industry, they aim to inform, de-risk decision-making, and spark real climate action.

As a result, they deliver independent analyses of how the transition is progressing and offer clear, data-driven recommendations for accelerating maritime decarbonization. Furthermore, the Center is maturing solutions to the most pressing problems across the maritime value chain, from fuels to onboard solutions, regulations, and financing.

This partnership will accelerate our transition towards a more sustainable future by allowing us to collaborate with like-minded organizations, and leverage the Center’s unique ability to develop and implement breakthrough decarbonization projects.

Our, Chief Strategy and Analytics Officer, Lise Duetoft says the following about our newly formed partnership:

“Together with the Center, we seek to accelerate both our and the maritime industry’s path to reaching zero. We look forward to both contributing and leveraging the shared knowledge and experience of the Center’s partners.”

A CHRISTMAS TO REMEMBER - My life on Höegh Trooper Week 4

Seafarers sure know how to throw a party! From very early in the morning on December 24 everyone was busy preparing sumptuos amounts of food and decorating the messroom. The ambience was merry and filled with laughter, even if the Christmas season without doubt is the hardest time of the year for the crew to be away from their loved ones.
